ABOUT US
Leadership:
Lee Cowan founded Lee Cowan Design + Build in 2002, but his building experience goes back much, much further.
Growing up, Lee spent countless hours in his father's shop where he learned the art of custom carpentry and ship building, as well as the work ethics required to run a business. As a young man, Lee left the family business to serve in the U.S. Army and then to earn a professional architecture degree at Penn State University.
Lee Cowan Design + Build began as a business creating custom built-in cabinetry for regional clients. The company quickly grew to include renovation projects that took Lee to Greece, New York City and sites closer to home. Today, Lee has a full service, design build practice in central and western Pennsylvania. In addition to his regular staff, Lee has ongoing relationships with a reliable team of subcontactors.
Jackie Dunn provides architectural design support to the business. Specializing in new construction, additions and home remodeling, Jackie brings a discerning eye to every project. She also brings to the firm a wealth of experience on large, complex architecture projects. Like Lee, Jackie is a graduate of Penn State's professional architecture program.
Lee Cowan Design + Build has longstanding relationships with quality subcontractors in the region. They also have strong ties to the Penn State Department of Architecture and frequently hire upper level students for seasonal work and internships.
